Since the early 1990s the Russian construction industry has boomed on foot of increasing economic growth that one cannot today only speak of a building boom in metropolises like Moscow or St. Petersburg. The rapid architectural developments in Russian and Kazakh cities are meanwhile being followed with growing interest abroad as well. The present publication contains a selection of 50 projects of German architectural bureaus which have successfully risked taking the step in the direction of the East.
