In the Enfilade of the Main Building
The Museum of Architecture, the Portuguese Embassy in Moscow, and the Camões Institute(Instituto Camões,Portugal) present the first Russian exhibition of works by the 2011 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate, architect Eduardo Souto de Moura. A student of the legendary Alvaro Siza, Eduardo Souto de Moura is known as a master atconveying complex ideas through the use of simple geometric forms. With anespecially keensenseof spatial context Eduardo expertly incorporates his designsinto surrounding environmentsand urban spaces.The exhibition features around 50 projects completed by the architect over his thirty years of practice. Among the most well known are the Casa das Histórias Paula Rego Museum in the city of Cascais near Lisbon, and his stadium in Braga, Portugal.
